![]() In one of her memoirs, she is interacting with a stubby. She even says that she finds the world populated by machines when she exits the facility, so she slept up to the events of Automata. Maybe in the events, but perhaps yoko taro didn't write those so it's an oversight?) Maybe we don't get a drakengard 1 crossover just because it isn't popular, or because it's the most fucked up of the games and square would like to pretend it never existed lol.Īnd yeah, Noelle is totally part of the main nier timeline. (Though, is it? I don't remember the day shifting in the main stories. I didn't take into account the day/night cycle. Since Accord appears to have come from the original timeline, she would be able to help facilitate the redevelopment of living weapons in the Kingdom of Night based on what she knows about them from the original timeline.Īs a side note, I think Yoko Taro was heavily influenced by Little Shop of Horrors, which has a plant that eats people, causing their faces to appear on the plant, and eventually takes over the planet.įascinating! I always thought most of the characters were replicants, previous to the events of replicant/gestalt. ![]() However, some type of maso-related accident occurs, causing the Cataclysm and transporting Cathedral City (along with dragons, other living weapons, and maso-tech or "magic") back to 856 AD, creating a branching timeline from the original one and leading to the events of DOD3, DOD1, NieR, and Automata.ītw, I'm pretty sure Noelle exists in the NieR timeline but "living weapons" could have been developed in the original timeline to combat the flowers in addition to being developed again in the NieR timeline. Far into the future, when everything is extremely high-tech due to the discovery/use of maso particles, the original or most powerful flower (Black Flower) is sealed in a city that we know in the lore as Cathedral City. I believe this is why the Flower and dragons were natural enemies. At some point in the future of this original timeline, "living weapons" (like Noelle) were developed in an effort to combat the flowers, including dragons. Eventually, the clones of her and her husband are tasked to fight it endlessly into the future. F66x's original self was experimenting on what's implied to be a lunar tear to help save the species, but the experiment gets out of control, turning the mutated lunar tear into a monstrous being. This is a good theory! However, I personally think that EX F66x's story is showing the true origin of the Flower in the original timeline that sounds like our real universe, where life on earth is devastated due to climate change and other factors. ![]() You can read his comics at subhumanzoids.
